One of the tributaries of the Amazon River, the Pará River runs nearly 124 miles in the northern state of Pará. The origin of its name comes from an indigenous language, Tupi-guarani, and means "river-sea". Once its waters merge with the Tocantins River, the river margins become so large that it takes on the appearance of a sea. The Castanha do Pará, or Brazil nut, is abundant in this area and can be found in the northern states of Brazil. It is one of the main ingredients used in our Pará oil blend and packed with vitmains and fatty acids to nourish your skin.
